I am a huge advocate of mental health and for the work it takes to achieve peace within our own minds and bodies. I have spent decades in talk therapy, and I have made much progress over the years. I had also been doing yoga for decades and loved how I felt when I took time for myself on my mat. After a while, I reached what seemed an endless plateau in my healing journey. I was in this state of stagnation for several years despite continuing to attend therapy and deepen my yoga practice. It wasn't until I was facing some of the most challenging times of my life, I truly realized that I needed to integrate both the skills I had learned in therapy and those in my yoga practice to move past that plateau. I began to slowly integrate more of the yoga skills into my daily routine. This opened the door for deeper reflection in my therapy sessions. I added in sound healing and Thai energy bodywork, and I started to feel a shift within myself toward a more sustained peace. I am not saying I am a Zen master but having inner peace has been pretty illusive for much of my adult life. I found a coach and things really started to gain momentum. Adding in routines, goal setting, and a deep dive into my thought processes has been instrumental in my feeling at home inside my mind and body. The culmination of this journey is Lawless Healing: a route for me to help others who also look for inner peace and ways to move forward to a rich and wonderful, free spirit life.
