Thai Energy Bodywork

(As discussed in the YogaFit Thai Energy training manual: copyright 2012)

 

Through my training in Thai energy bodywork with YogaFit Thai Energy I have learned to combine acupressure, gently rhythmic massage, deep stretching, and gentle twisting. The focus is not only yoga poses and techniques based in massage but also on meditation and using the breath. The purpose of the YogaFit Thai Energy practice is to promote loving kindness through compassionate touch and positive intention.

 

My job as the giver in this practice is to work with my clients to relax and soften. Encouraging the client to accept the gifts of passive stretching and bodywork. My goals are to help my clients achieve a release of stress and tension, an increase flexibility and range of motion, an increase energy within the body necessary for proper functioning and healing, some relief of pain and soreness, help promote the flow of blood and lymph in the body to aid in cleansing and detoxification, and essentially help deepen the connection between body, mind, and spirit.
